Bezdek Center for the Performing Arts Takes Shape on 22nd Street

Crews will continue working over the summer on the new facility.
The school year has nearly concluded and summer break is upon us, but over on 22nd Street, construction on the new 58,000-square-foot Bezdek Center for the Performing Arts continues. Housing state-of-the-art teaching, performance and rehearsal spaces, along with a seminar room for the School’s Equity & Justice Institute, this facility will bolster the exceptional dance, drama, music and filmmaking programs that Crossroads School offers today and serve as a resource for the local community. The building is slated to open early in 2026.

“Housing our performing arts programs under one roof will offer infinite opportunities for meaningful student collaboration across disciplines,” shared Head of School Mariama Richards in a statement. “Our new performing arts center will dramatically increase our ability to offer more programs and resources that challenge our students to stretch the limits of their ability.”
