Thanks to generations of donors, Crossroads has flourished and grown into the School it is today, one in which students receive an exceptional and joyful education.
Support from the Crossroads community is instrumental to the ongoing financial health of the School. Whether you’re a parent, graduate, grandparent, parent of alumni, friend or employee, please know that your generosity makes everything we do possible.
The Crossroads Annual Fund
The Crossroads Annual Fund is the fundraising engine that drives the School. Your yearly gift is the most significant and comprehensive way that you can support the School. Every donation helps enhance academic programming, the arts, athletics, technology and the Experiential and Outdoor Education program. The Crossroads Annual Fund also empowers us to hire and retain our distinguished faculty, compensated in the 90th percentile among peer schools. And it bolsters the School’s Affordability Program, which distributes grants to one in four students and makes possible our socially and economically diverse student body.
The Crossroads Annual Fund launches each fall and runs through the end of the school year. We seek 100% participation and ask all families to make the Crossroads Annual Fund their first philanthropic priority each year.
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, making your donation fully tax-deductible. Our Federal Tax ID is #23-7120625.
K-12 Parent Association Fundraising
Proceeds from the annual K-12 Parent Association Spring Event and Party Book gatherings benefit the Affordability Program. By participating, you can help make a Crossroads education affordable for more families. One in four students participate in the Affordability Program.
While the Spring Event Fundraiser and Party Book raise critical funds for the Affordability Program, please note that the cost of a Party Book ticket, raffle ticket or winning auction bid is typically not tax deductible.
Each year, the Parent Association hosts a Spring Event Fundraiser that brings the extended Crossroads community together for an evening of entertainment, delicious food and drink, and exciting silent auction and raffle items. The theme rotates: Past spring event fundraisers include Rock ‘n’ Roads, Crossroads Cabaret, The Art of the Doodle and Crossroads Night Live. This not-to-be-missed “party of the year” raises funds for the Affordability Program via ticket sales, donations, and the auction and raffle.
Party Book is a catalog of social events—some for families, some for adults—presented by the Parent Association. These events are fully hosted and funded by Crossroads community members, and all proceeds support the Affordability Program. These parties are a great way to connect with fellow Crossroads community members, make new friends, build community and have fun! There’s something for everyone, from poker nights and wine tastings for adults to bowling and pool parties for kids. And hosting a party is a great way to share your talent, skill or passion with the community.
As a nonprofit organization, Crossroads relies on philanthropic support to attract and retain outstanding teachers; remain accessible to a diverse student population; and, most importantly, to enrich the educational experiences of our students.
In a word, no. Tuition covers only about 87% of our annual operating budget. If we were to raise tuition to cover the full cost of a Crossroads education, our School would be accessible to only the wealthiest of families. Instead, we ask our entire community to contribute to the Crossroads Fund to the best of their abilities, giving more students the opportunity to reach their full potential.
All current Crossroads parents are expected to support the Crossroads Fund as generously as is comfortable every year. By prioritizing Crossroads in your philanthropic giving, you demonstrate your commitment to your children and their classmates, as well as to the dedicated teachers and staff members who provide students with unparalleled guidance, instruction and care. We hope that alumni and parents of alumni look back fondly on Crossroads and choose to support today’s generation of Roadrunners. And we encourage grandparents, friends, and faculty and staff to invest in the education of our students.
