Our school is a vibrant learning environment, buzzing with curiosity, exploration and discovery!
At Crossroads Elementary School, children begin their educational journey developing a lifelong love of learning, self-discovery and a sense of responsibility for the world around them. The foundation of their learning is built upon the strong relationships and partnerships we develop with students and with families. Students feel seen and heard, and in turn, are kind, compassionate and supportive of their peers.

Our kindergarten program is dynamic, engaging and fast-paced, with multiple transitions and a range of specialists for children to get to know. Based on research, experience and ongoing reflection, we have established an Age Cap and Cutoff policy.
While the program supports a range of developmental profiles, we look for children who are socially and emotionally ready to thrive in a busy classroom environment with many adults, peers and transitions throughout the day.
Our Admission Committee, composed of admission staff, elementary administrators and faculty, carefully reviews each application to understand a child’s strengths, areas for growth and readiness for our program, as well as alignment between the family and the School’s philosophy.
Consistent with Crossroads’ Statement of Philosophy, we are committed to building a community that reflects the racial, ethnic, geographic and socioeconomic diversity of Los Angeles, as well as a variety of family structures and beliefs.
While we give consideration to sibling, employee and alumni applicants, admission is not guaranteed. We seek to maintain a healthy balance between new and connected families in each incoming class.
Applying to Grades 1-5
We welcome applications to Grades 1–5 through our Elementary School application. Availability in these non-entry years is limited and depends on class size and attrition.
